Africa

As we look at Africa, it is referred to as the dark continent, but it is a land of great opportunities with many needs. Here we will take a look at the country of Ghana, West Africa and share with you some of the needs in the areas we are working.

About Ghana:

The country of Ghana is led by the Christian President John Kufuor. Ghana has great potential but lacks the resources to meet the needs of her vast population. The country is experiencing very high inflation which results in poverty for much of her people. According to The Ghana Evangelism Committee there are many hundreds of ethnic groups in the Northern Regions (states) who have not heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is the burden carried as we seek to help the pastors and congregations to sustain themselves and prosper so that they can reach out to the unsaved. There is mission work being done in Ghana, but in the areas we are led there is little being done to help these people. Most of those we are reaching out to are from the Moslem background and readily receive Christ as their Savior as we share the truth of the Gospel with them. The unsanitary conditions caused by open sewer ditches and the need for pure water is the cause for over 70% of the sicknesses affecting these people. The needs are many and varied, but with the leading of the Lord and many working together we know that these people can be taught and helped in a dynamic way.

Our Mission:

We desire to equip and empower the men and women of Ghana to fufill God's purpose for them. This will be accomplished through Spiritual, Social, Economical and Health related training. We believe this will bring about positive sustainable growth.

Our Vision:

To develop a network of churches, businesses and people to support teams to go into the country and train the leaders, thus impacting the needs and alleviating the problems in the areas we are working. This can be done by churches adopting sister churches in Ghana. All it takes is for everyone working together giving something as they are led by the Lord to see these objectives accomplished.
